I'm makeing a dvd with my summer videos, but I have a little problem in creating it.
Studio 9 takes more than 2h to create a 40mins dvd!
I want DV quality, but why if I already have the DV video Studio takes so much time?

The video has to be encoded to mpeg-2, that takes a while.Originally Posted by SGResu

2 hours MPEG2 encoding for 40 minutes of video is not too bad really. For comparison, using TMPGenc on my 2.1Ghz P4 system, it takes around 5 hours to encode 24 minutes of video. Of course, I have set TMPGenc parameters for very high quality encoding.
Bottom line is that decent-quality MPEG2 encoding takes a hella long time! Welcome to the world of DVD video! -
Also, just so you know, there is always a difference in quality between DV and DVD. DV (as in Digital Video, like camcorder etc.) is 25Mbps, whereas the maximum for DVD is about 9Mbps. So, some compression is required.Originally Posted by SGResu
