    i need to downsample a 448kbps ac3 file to 384kbps.
    i've done this a while ago,but for some reason AC3Machine wont 'give me ac3!'
    i even installed the ac3filter,which i dont use.
    what else can convert ac3 to ac3?

    Yes, Besweet, but use AC3Machine as a front end...

    Go to http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/ , and find the audio guides that get you .AC3 to .AC3..

    I use Sonic Foundry's Vegas 4.0 (I guess sony owns it now) and got the AC3 plug in for it. I noticed when using the free ware tools that the AC3 is not compliant, and I am not sure if they fixed that. But Sonic Foundry's conversion is aces, and works great. Really easy to use and has some other FX and stuff you can do.
