Is there any program that can create menus with audio, I'd like to put some music in, and can Iput an intro before the menu starts, kind of like retail DVDs? Thanks guys.

You can add sound to menus with Nero VisionExpress2. Don't know any programs that allow sound before menu

You can add a video file with sound as a menu background. There is an option to enable/disable the sound for background menus.

Ok, I got how you put the intro, you just create a new track and select play only first. How do I add audio to the menu? I don't quite get how you would do that...

Your video file needs to have the audio encoded within it.

When you use it as your menu background, the audio automatically goes along for the ride (unless you tell TMPGEnc DVD Author to ignore the audio).

ok, so how can I create an mpg file of a jpg to loop for a minute with audio?


In other words, I have a static jpg backgrouns I want to use for my menu, and I would like to use audio with it. Can I create a one minute loop of this jpg, mux in the audio, and then use it as my background?

if so, how do I loop a jpg?

You don't need an mpeg for a static Menu image. The audio can be set to play and loop with static menus as well as motion menus.

Exactly how you do this depends on your authoring SW.

I am using tmpgenc author, which according to this thread only supports menu audio when it is a motion (mpg) menu. That is why I asked how to loop a jpg into an mpg.

You will need an encoding application such as TMPGEnc (not DVD Author) to encode your jpg and audio files to a suitable mpg for use as a menu background with audio.

Use TMPGEnc Plus or Free. Load the jpg as your video source, and your audio of choice. You make these into an MPEG.

If so, did you raise the priority of the BMP/PPM/TGA/JPG File Reader ?

Did you try converting the JPG to a BMP, or creating a new BMP in WIndows Paint to test it ?

I tried it as bmp and it still gives me the same error.


I get the same error when I try it without audio, I doubt its the audio.

pinnacle studio 9 can put audio before or during a menu,also anywhere in your movie.its a bit buggy,but still worth the money.does anything you could possibly want to do with editing/authoring.
