i was just wondering whats the best codec for quality picmjpeg or huffy some many people give different answers and dont know wat 2 choose

You can't go wrong with either in my opinion. As I understand it, Huffy uses less compression so it will create larger files.

Huffyuv is lossless (as long as no color space conversions are done, eg. RGB->YUV) so it's basically as good as it gets. PicVideo's MJPEG is good enough for most purposes with a quality setting of 19 or 20. I can capture at 512x480 29.97 fps and get a datarate of 2.5 MB/s with the MJPEG codec and still very good quality, which is pretty nice.
