  1. Hello,

After converting some DVDDecrypted vobs into mpg files with the latest version of TMPEGEnc (MPEG Tools | De-Multiplex | select the video stream), I am having trouble advancing within the mpg file. The mpg plays from beginning to end say in Windows Media Player, but any time I skip ahead or try to jump to another scene, it just hangs. Tried other several mpg files from different vobs as well. I have usedother MPEG players / MPEG splitters but the same problem (... I'm trying to grab a particular scene only which is why I mention MPEG splitters). Do I need a special codec or plug-in of some kind? Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks a lot!

Crappy mpeg2 codec? Try install powerdvd or windvd or play with media player classic.

  3. I used an mpeg splitter and split the large mpg into 150MB chunks. I was then able to advance within the movie clips themselves. That will work for me.

    Thanks,

You really ought to consider dumping Windows Crappy Media Player for a better overall player. I ditched it years ago and never looked back. Media Player Classic is an excellent replacement.
