Can anyone recommend me a good but cheap digital video card? I want to use my HDTV as my monitor. My HDTV has a DVI port but I need a cheap but fairly good video card that has a DVI out to my HDTV.

    Any suggestion is appreciated.

Thanks for the response. Yes, I did try that but it only list video capture cards. I don't intend to capture anything from my HDTV. All I want is to output the signal to my HDTV so I can use it as my monitor. No capturing what so ever.

Cheap and good don't go together in video, but for under $200, you can get an ATI AIW card that has DVI. Both of mine do.

Thanks for the responses. Yes, I understand that cheap and good does not go hand in hand...however, just because it's cheap doesn't mean that it has to be bad either. In any rate, I have used ATI AIW before. I'm still using one right now...the issue is that this one is quite old, I guess, because it does not have a DVI port. I'll take a look at ATI website and see if anything there fit my budget.

    Again, thanks!

By the way, my HDTV resolution is 1024X1024. What specs should I look for in a video card that would give me a good resolution on my HDTV?

What are your opinions on the ATI RADEON 7000? It's cheap and has a DVI port as well as a VGA. However, I have no clue if it will work with my HDTV...especially quality wise. So let me know your opinions.

    Thanks!
