AnyDVD is one of the BEST program for ripping if you don't mind paying for it. Especially those disney DVDs, with insane protections on them.

The free progs like Smartripper, and DVDdecryptor handle most everything else, but choke when it comes to disney stuff. Only anyDVD can handle those damn things.

    I guess you haven't used RipIt4Me yet. It's free.

And VobBlanker/PGCEdit (both free) can do just about anything DVDRemake Pro can do, with the exception of joining 2 DVDs, keeping menus for both.

Have you yourself, used Ripit4me on disney DVDs like pirates 2? The Protection stuff on Disney discs is quite a cut above the rest. All my other free programs failed miserably when attempting it.

As for DVDRemake Pro, i originally Only bought it for the Disc-Merge feature. I didn't figure out how to do the other stuff until much later. IMO its worth it just for the Merge feature w/other great stuff being a nice bonus

  8. Disney stuff just uses RipGuard, which is a lot easier to unravel than is Sony's ARccOS. So yes, it can do them (and Pirates 2):
