  1. I have a several lines scrolling up the TV when I watch a video or just have the computer on "Desktop". I have done my best to make sure the cable is not crossing any power cords so I do not think it is interference. I am wondering if there is a problem with the refresh rate of the TV vs the video card. I am using a Geforce 4 ti4200 with s-video out and at 600x800 60 mhz (i think but I have not been able to overide "application controls refresh rate"). If you need more info pls let me know. Thanks for the help.

  3. Thanks for the reply. TVTool has helped with screen size issues. So far it has not gotten rid of the scrolling lines. It may just be that I have not learned all of its features yet so I will keep reading. If someone knows the setting to use that fixes this problem I would sure appreciate it. Once again, I appreciate the reply.

  4. Follow up incase this can help anyone. I replaced my midgrade svideo to RCA cable with a higher end cable. This has significantly reduced although not eliminated the scrolling lines. Maybe a very highend cable would have gotten rid of it completely.

the higher end (more expensive) cables have less oxygen inside the actual cable therfore giving you less signal "noise". i know that some A/V equipment is more sensative to it than others are.
