  1. Using DVDinfopro I tested a DVDR copy and it had over 1000 errors on 1 pc with a NEC 1100a. I took the same DVDR and tested it on another computer with a Memorex Dual burner and it came out with 0 errors. I even watched the last 15 minutes and the movie was perfect. Why might this be? My friend with the 1000 error computer is new to burning and 1 of the discs he burned DID freeze up constantly at the end of burning so he is having some problems and we would like some help on what it may be. We tried a few different types of media and every disc on HIS computer seems to get many errors or many consecutive blocks of red at the end of the burn. Ive only tested the 1 dvdr on my pc so far. Thanks for all replies.

  2. If the same DVD worked flawlessly in your machine, but had errors on his, then it is probably his DVD burner that is the problem. Could be a laser problem, firmware problem, or media problem. Who recorded the original test DVD? Can you play anything that he records? and visa versa? Have you tried different brands of media on his recorder?

  3. It was recorded on his burner. We tried 2 different types of Media both were media coded Ricohjpnr01 so its good stuff. We also tried a DVR-RW and it burned and didnt have any errors in dvdinfopro. I tried it on my standalone player and thats where it played fine even though it had a TON of errors on his scan. Also he tried the same dvd with a dvd-rom and infopro and it came up error free.
