  1. I am using DVD Rebuilder v0.16 and am encountering an error when trying to re-encode this. The error is

"Frame size 1036x32 is not supported. Supported frame size is up to 720x576."

I am using DVD Rebuilder v0.16, CCE SP 2.67.00.23 trial version and EclCCE.

The movie is a Decrypter rip of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Any ideas on what might be causeing this problem? Thanks for the help.

  2. umm, the frame size is too big?

I think it pretty much tells you in the error what the problem is.
dvd compliant frame size is usually 720 X 480.

  3. Actually, it isn't that obvious. I ripped it in IFO mode using Decrypter and it plays fine on my computer from the ripped IFO.

I dont know why CCE SP is recognizing it as that obscure frome size. Any ideas?? IS DVD Rebuilder somehow altering the size before it sends it to CCE??

    Thanks for the help.

I've had this problem with CCE before. I forgot how I solved it but I know the problem is with the avisynth script. Try opening up the avisynth script in media player and virtual dub and see if there are any errors.

Anyways check out the doom9.org faq and maybe that will help

    AFAIK 1036 > 720.

    Pretty obvious to me.
    If in doubt, Google it.

I had the same problem and i found out in the avisynth script that a number was offset in the resolution for some reason so it read 3(52x480) which really screwed up the process, what i did was simply correct the mistake (352x480) and the problem was solved. This was with dvd2svcd making a dvd compliant mpg.
    I think,therefore i am a hamster.

The movie is not 1036x32. It plays fine when I play it on my computer. Teh resolution is getting changed by something. Some have suggested AVIsynth. I will have to check that out a bit closer. I think that might be it.

If the movie played with an F'd up resolution I would just rip it again and start the encoding process over. But it not....

I don't understand what you mean by open up the avisynth script. I have virtual dub but I can't find any scripts in the AVISynth folder. The only thing in the Avisynth install folder is:

    Docs folder
    Examples folder
plugins folder (where I have installed DVD2AVI)
    gpl text document
    uninstall wizard

I can't actually find an AVISynth program icon anywhere.

    Thanks for the help.

The avisynth scripts should be in the output folder of Rebuilder, their extension is .avs. Just open the scripts with Virtual Dub or a media player like you would with a video file.

make sure you have all the avisynth filters needed. I would go back to the Rebuiler doom9.org thread, get the newest version (0.21 I think) then read up on what filters you need.

I remember what caused my problem in the first place, I was trying to add black borders around the image so that when I watched the DVD on my DVD player the edges won't be cut off but I had to add then by variables of 16 pixels. I'm not saying that is your problem but it has to do with your avisynth script.
