  1. hi all !

i'm having trouble with my ati all in wonder 9000 pro. I also have an ati tv wonder pci in my possession.

I've done recordings of the exact same vhs tape using both capture devices.
My setup for my ati 9000 is going from my s-vhs player, using the s-video connection, and going into the s-video input of my capture card.

My setup for my ati tv wonder pci is going from the s-vhs player using analog cable into the capture card. (this card does not have an s-video input, to my knowledge)

Both cards are not installed and are not in my computer at the same time.
I've done the old switcheroo between both.

Here's my problem, i'm getting far better results using the ati tv wonder than the 9000. The 9000 gives me shaking and that "tearing effect", but the tv wonder does not.

You can view some samples on this webpage

Just scroll down the page a bit......

I'm beginning to think it's my drivers for the 9000, and ati is of no help at all to me!

    anyone have any ideas???

If what you are reffering to as trouble looks like this at the top (the white out on the faces are mine):

This is not a very good example as it get worse but I don't have time to search for a better example.

If it's happening occasionally and occasionally flickering, getting bright then dark. If it also works fine when you view on a direct vcr to tv connection. Then see my post here.
