  1. Hi,

    I have some vob files that I downloaded (music videos) but the sound track is in LPCM format and I would like to demux the vob (I did it with tmpgenc to demux audio and video) and re-encode the wav file to a AC3 with besweet (to make the file a bit smaller because I don't have a DVD-R drive only a cdrw ).

    For my music videos I use:
    mpg => mpeg-1 VCD
    m2v => SVCD
    vob => vob dvd

    Which tool can I use to remux the video and audio to a vob file (so I can identify wich format is my file) ?

    Thanks.

    VOBEdit can demux a VOB.

    You can re-author from the elementary streams with any authoring package.

  3. Yes, but I don't want to reauthoring. I only want to remux the m2v + ac3 to a vob file (I don't need the ifo,...)

    Yes, but this gives you an Mpeg stream..
    If that's the case, then BBmpeg...

    Good luck!!!

    Just curious why you want to remux back to a vob when you dont have a dvdrw,you only need to remux back to mpg with either tmpgenc or bbmeg as was suggested.

    It's simple, I put different formats of video on my cdr (vob, mpg, avi,...) and I've created an autorun for my cd in which I can choose which video file I want to play. I take the extension to determine the filetype.

    vob, m2v (svcd) are played with PowerDVD
    mpg, avi are plyaed with BsPlayer.

    If I rename a mpg to vob does it works without problem ????

    I'm not very computer savvy, so i don't even know how to create an autorun file..

    But i do know, that you should be able to go to the associations, and have WinDVD (or whatever you've got), open up from the .MPG extension....

    Powerdvd will play all those types of files and you dont need to rename the file to vob because it really wont be a vob file,just keep it as mpg.M2v is just the video portion of a mpg2 file so if it has audio already in it is a mpg file.
