If a backup was made with DVDShrink, I'd have no problem backing it up again. However, I've found out that everything I've used InstantCopy 8 to back up, I can not back it up again with either DVD Decryptor, or with DVDShrink. I even checked out the files that IC8 made with IFOEdit, it seems like IC8 doesn't author properly. Standalone players and PowerDVD have no problem with backups made with IC8, but if you want to back them up again, then you got a problem. You can only use IC8 to back them up again.

You're either dealing with bad media or a bad burn. Or both.

I agree...there's really nothing to debate.
If the backup was made with practically anything other than dvd x copy, you can do a disc to disc on the fly copy, an ISO single drive copy, drag the files onto the HD and burn, or do an ISO copy with dvd decrypter.
There is NO need to rip with shrink or any other software, since it is not encrypted. You treat it the same as u treat any other data dvd. It's merely files on a dvd.
If the disc wasn't made with dvd x copy, and it still won't copy, then sumthin is wrong with the disc. Try cleaning it.
If the backup WAS made with dvd x copy, Good luck. -
If your dvdburner is connected on the same IDE as your cdrom/dvdrom then you won't be able to do disc to disc copying.
Use IMG TOOL BURN to do disc to disc copying. Instead of burning the files on your hard drive use this program. All you do is direct it to where the video files are from the disc you are copying from. Then click burn. Here is the download for it. I've also used NERO to copy disc to disc without any problems. I've used DVD SHRINK to back up my movies then used the copy to make other copies.

Bad source disc. The end. Sorry man. Try an ISO rip with ISO Buster or DVD Decrypter. Look at the source disc in Nero CD-DVD Speed
and see if it passes a SCANDISC with 100%Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

Why don't you copy your original ? Surely you make backups just in case a disc should let you down for some reason, so why are you trying to copy your backup when you have the source material to hand ?
No-brainer, surely. -
I used dvd x copy to backup a dvd tried to copy the copy for quickness with nero 6 as I have 3 kids and for some reason like to watch the same film in different rooms found it isnt possible can any one help ther must be some one out there how has cracked it......
-
X copy watermarks your copy so you can only back up your original and not backup a copy. if you need to make a copy of a back up make sure your running anydvd you should have no problems

Type in anydvd on your search engine and download it I have but couldnot get it to work do you use it before dvd xpress or after has any one got a walk through as what to do??
-
download DVD Decrypter and do an iso rip. theres some guides on the left that show you how to do this. then burn those files off your hard drive. if that doesnt work, then the disc you are trying to copy is corrupted, or your media is crap. what media are you using?
woooo whoooo! -

I bet if I had the disc, I'd be able to make a copy. You can too.
