interesting, Ill have to give that a shot. So even if it cuts out in the credits and i say no it will still play to that point?

I've done a bunch of tests with various media - in all cases when recopying a copy - if it fails at around 95% its due to bad media

I have found out from several different burning tools and several different media that Xcopy is Xcrap! I didnt want to believe anyone @ first but I now do. Have faith in your media because it is probley fine. Below you will find the easiest ways to make a perfect backup which u can backup again from the backup @ a later time.
Method #1 for DvD-5 < 4.38GB's
Use the newest DvD Decryptor
Then Burn with Img Tool
Method #2 for DvD-9 > 4.38GB's
Use DvD Decryptor
Then Use DvD Shrink to make it small enough,
The newest one even burns for you if you have Nero
Installed.
These methods have been working fine for me. I have tried 2 pieces of every media allmediaoutlet carries from their sample packs and have had 100% Success Rate Burning and 100% Success rate backing up my backup. Also when the media is DvD-9 DvD Shrink does a great job compressing the media properly so the fast scenes etc. lose almost no quality.

"t fails at around 95% its due to bad media"
Or you're writing too fast for your media. -
I only have a problem if I try to do disc to disc. Nero always gives a warning before the burn starts. It will then burn 100%.
Sometimes the disc will play okay on pc, usually always plays okay on standalone. Using Nero version 5.5.54. Have not tried Nero 6.
I usually rip to hd first then burn - shame to waste 15-20 mins ripping.
Can any other burning proggies do on the fly copy ?

RecordNow works nice, plus you can play the backup on a PS2 now. For some reason, the only backups that will play on PS2's are 1:1 copies where the source disk is a backup and movie is not stored on HD.

Don't use IC7 or 8 to burn the backup. And if you want another copy of the backup Decrytper ISO read / write mode is the way to go.
Matter of fact, I use IC7 and I distrust pinnacle so much that even though Decrytper will now burn pdi files....I won't. I still use pdi2iso and then use decrypter to burn the ISO. Compression quality is great, it does a very good job. But anything other than that...no way.
I've never had a problem making a copy of a backup...not that I have needed to do it but maybe a couple of times but still, I could take any of my backups, bring them in and Decrypter ISO read/write them and have copy #2 in about 20-30 minutes.
