Hi guys...

I have an American Sony DCR-HC 40 digital camcorder with mini dv casettes and just bought a LG HDD DVD player. When copying my footage to the DVD player hard disk I get a distortion streak at the bottom of my screen.
I was wondering if it could be because my camcorder is an American made and the HDD player not?!? But the player is supposed to be a multi system player. I tried a European made JVC HDD camcorder an it delivered a perfect picture!
Also I get no respond when using the DV cable between camcorder and player, have to use the AV cable.
