  1. i downloaded a movie and at the bottom of it theres writing
    does any budy know of any tools that i can use.

    i dont want to crop it because ill be blocking out a peice of the bottem.
    and if i use vdude every time the output file is not as good as the orignal

    Firstly, to get the output as good as the original you will need to alter your bitrate settings. Secondly, if the writing on the bottom is subtitles then there is no real way to remove them gracefully. Thirdly, if the movie is a copyrighted movie with <insert foreign language here> subtitles then you will have a hard time.

    They may not be subs as such but I have certainly come across a number of films on file shares that might have english audio but chinese translations on the bottom for example. These are in fact the subtitles hard coded into each frame. If this is the case you are screwed.

    Virtualdub with logoaway filter,gets rid of time stamps.
