Have just got a new computer and noticed this problem with avi files.
Some have a thin green bar running at the bottom of the movie, some at the right and some both bottom and right. I don't think it is WMA problem because when I tried Nero showtime I get the same problem only the bar is white. Same movies on WMA on my old computer do not display the problem
The problem doesn't seem to appear on my DVD player if I watch the file on TV.
Any thoughts?
Could it be a codec problem? I know I had loaded lots of different codec on my other computer.
Should I install K-Lite standard codec pack?

No to codec packs .
Check for updated video drivers and install them first , always , then re-asses how the clips play back . -
Latest video drivers are installed so I installed K-Lite codec standard.
Problem solved.
K-Lite comes with WMA classic and it performs better than WMA 9.0 IMO. I don't know why but the video is slightly larger when viewed through Classic using the same video size settings on both.
