I recently bought a Philips DVDr 75 , happy as hell with it aprt from it refuses to play some DVDs I made which play in my old player but not in my "cutting-edge" new player/recorder . I downloaded the firmware update for it from the Philips site (hoping it would cure tis and give better again quality) , as the recorder came multi-region , will updating the firmware take that away ?
