Loaded the downloaded DivX file into TMPGenc to make it DVD compatible M2V file (Video Only) with CBR.

The resulting file is over 12 GB for 1hr 28 minutes because after the last frame the video still plays for something like 2 hrs. For all those 2 hrs of video its just the last frame frozen. Wonder what happened here.

I have used TMPGEnc many times before, never encountered this problem. My encoding log looks fine with the last line reading "encoding finished" However I did get an "invalid pointer" alert after file was done encoding.

Any idea? I am now loading this HUGE file into Ulead Video Studio to cut the last 2 hr of frozen frame. TMPGenc's MPEG tools don't work for me either.

You can use the Settings-->Advanced tab-->Source Range function to encode every thing but the two hour last frame.

Tommy.. My original DivX is perfectly fine with 1 hr 27 mins of video. When I load this onto TMPGEnc to convert it to DVD compatible Mpeg 2 File (m2v) the resulting file "adds on" the last 2 hours of still frames.

I just need to CUT these frames out... whats the best free tool to cut unwanted frames out of the MPEG 2 video file. Please help asap

I still believe Source Range will help. It will ensure your video encodes only what you want it to. The choice is yours, though.
