  1. i´ve been using gknot for making divx movies, and have some problems.everytime i run comp.test result it comes back somewhere around 20%(if i am ripping on 1 cd).that happens even when a movie is short( like 90 minutes or something) so now, i have to rip every single movie on 2 cd.if a moovie is longer ,lets say sround two and a half, three hours , and i trie to rip it on 2 cd , the comp. result comes back around 40°, which also means a bad divx. I just do not understand where the problem is. i´ve been reading all the gordian knot guides where they say that a good result is somewhere around 55-70 &, but i can not get that.obviously i am doing something wrong.does anybody know what the problem is?

  2. Have you actually encoded the movie at either 1 or 2 cd size and watched to see if the results were acceptable to you? A comp test can only tell you what the program is written to tell you. If you can not feel confident with your own personal judgement, and need GK to tell you what looks good, then you will have to stick with 3 to 4 cds per movie.

  3. well, if i got a bad comp.test result and a very good rip, then i would not have to waste my time trying to find someone to help me, would i? when i make a divx, then i usually do it so i could watch the movie, and i thought that was the point? is anyone here who actually CAN help ?

  4. Dont use that, USE this AUTOGK. It does a comp test at the start and all the results can be viewed in the log.

  5. thanks a lot! i have tried out autoGK and it works perfectly.although i do have a question. is it normal that it takes him 9 hours to make a movie, when gordian knot did it in only three and a half?
