Install it, then hide the discs.

    Buy another copy.

That's about all you can do, because you can't make backups of the discs.

  3. wait wait wait.. you CANT make backups?

its not legal, or it just cannot be done?

i'm not sure if you've heard of these cd copying programs for the pc that copy hard to copy discs, such as clonecd, alcohol, & blindwrite, to name a few..

Well, you can't on the Mac. There are bad sectors on the disk which will cause it to fail out. Now that I think about it, I remember someone saying that Nero might be able to do it.

Try Alcohol 120% it will copy the errors (the load program looks for the errors to see if the cd is authentic, thats how the copy protection works)
Big Government is Big Business.. just without a product and at twice the price... after all if the opposite of pro is con then wouldn’t the opposite of progress be congress?

  6. from what i've heard other mac users in the past say there are windows emu's for the mac.. maybe you could install alcohol on one of those emu's and copy the disc that way.

jeex is right, through VPC you can run the "pc" apps to get the job done.

I had these cd's once for school that i had to copy and no matter what you did (pc or mac) they just didnt work. Only app that could do it was clone cd, so after installing on VPC i now have those disks copied
