Hi,
I have a DV video which I would like to grab all the still frames from in about 2 seconds of video, and save as seperate image files.
Anyway, the way that I wanted to do this has turned out to be very slow and laborious, in capturing the video frames.
Do you know of a program that can 'batch capture' still frames from either my DV camera, or from a video file on the PC?
I would like a way that is as quick and easy to do as possible.
Thanks,
Matt
PS. Tried to post this yesterday, there was a problem with the site, and just a blank message came up. It's fixed now.

capture your video file as an avi file.
open it in Virtual Dub.
under File, you'll see "Export as numbered frames" or something similar - do that. You'll get a series of images like "image001.bmp, image002.bmp" etc.

Unicorn "Playing With Light" -
virtualdub as mentioned (remember to set in and out points)
or tmpgenc also can do this very fast ... set source range and then files save as - and pick image files format"Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650)
