    Problem:
I have used TMPG..plus, TMP..Author, UleadDVD, and a host of others to get this thing into proper DVD!!! The problem I am having is not a visual problem, all is ok with that... the problem is the audio synch.! Which I have de-mux them and put back together using EVERYTHING and using all kinds of settings and dvdrhelp guides! I burned it as SVCD and the audio was fine. All codecs are fine. When watching the original & burned SVCD.. synch is on time. When watching DVD files produced by TMPGPlus & Author and burned DVD synch is off... alot! Like 5-10 secs!

    What I am Thinking:
During the encode/convert... the bitrate of the files plus that f'n 480x480 transformation into DVD standard 720x480 is f'n up the audio sync!

    Queston:
First is it possible to have a 480x480 DVD? I have no knowledge of 'frameserving' but is this a case of it (then i need to learn about frameserving)? Or is it just something else that I am missing? If u have burned a working DVD standard Monster from this particular screener what did u use and/or steps? If u use TMPG.. do u use the pre-loaded templates that come with it for burning diff. formats (svcd,DVD NTSC, etc.)?

  2. As for 480x480 DVD´s (I supose NTSC)

    from this very site

    NTSC DVD-Video standard

    720 x 480 pixels MPEG2
    704 x 480 pixels MPEG2
352 x 480 pixels MPEG2 (Same as the CVD Standard)
    352 x 240 pixels MPEG2
352 x 240 pixels MPEG1 (Same as the VCD Standard)

As for the audio is it off by the same ammount through the entire movie or does it get gradually more (or less) off synch?

  3. (audio) It is constantly off sync from the very beginning... not gradually. Any clues?

  4. I can´t tell you what´s causing it to go off but the best thing you can do is to measure as exactly as possible how much is it off and then add silence in the begining or remove accordingly.

You might not get it right at first but it´s not that hard.

    Good luck.

  5. UPDATE
First let me say thanks to all the help you guys have given me! And also for just for taking the time to even read my post.
What i did was use DVD2AVI to convert it to .d2v and (audio) .mpa first.. and then used TMPGEncPLUS to do the rest. And all went good.
