well iv been converting divx movies to svcd files for a bit now, and iv been getting great picture, but the voices are kinda high pitched it seems like. But the music in the movie sounds great its just voices are as clear. using tmpenc iv tried makeing the sound a higher bit rate but if i go higher than 256 the picture has a line on the bottom when i encode it. Is there anyway to get a higher quality sound or make the voices clearer?
if any one can direct me into any direction that would be great!
    thanx

well ouputting your audio to plain wave from virtualdub and then coding back to mpeg is the best quality you'll get. you can find how to do that in the guides. beyond that, it could be a prblem with your source (dodgy mp3 in a badly encoded divx) the way you play it back (surround amp? tv? headphones? pc?) or a problem with your ears!

    SVCD_KING,

Make sure that you set the "Sampling frequency convertor" to "High Quality (low speed)" in the Audio engine tab of the Environmental settings.

Otherwise, you could get some bad results.
