  1. Hi Guys

    Gr8 forum!!

    Okay I have captured old documentary videos to my computer for conversion to VCD coz I do not give a shit about quality. My problem is that instead of saving them in vcd format so they are small enough to go on a cd, I saved them as dvd mpeg (I think mpeg2). Consequently I have file sizes over 700mb.

    My question is there a tool that will allow me to shrink these files? Had alook at tpmgenc, but does not seem to allow shrinking.

    or do I have to simply recapture all this video again and make sure I save it as vcd?

    TMPGEnc may not do "shrinking" per se, but it will allow you to convert your DVD mpegs to VCD mpegs. Use the project wizard and select the VCD template. Give it a shot.
