  1. I have an avi file that doesnt seem to wanna run properly. I used G-spot to determine what I needed. It says that it's not a AVI file type...when I use any of my players, it comes in, but very very choppy...any ideas why, or what codec I should have??

  4. I rendered and it came up with a black error message, the first I have ever seen and it says something about Codecs being improperly installed. Should I uninstall all codecs and reinstall certain ones??? If I do, which ones would be best...???

  5. It could be DIVX or the new xvid format. Try going to their websites and downloading the software.

Did you try to open via vdub? It usually will tell you what codec is missing if it cant open it.

  8. I think its an avi file...as to what kind, I don't know. Its OK...its not an important file. I just though it would be a simpler problem to solve.
