MTR Cant read files

I have a movie "KEVIN & PERRY GO LARGE", MTR 2.0 just scans it forever. I gave it to my brother to try on his pc and he cant read files on it either, the movie plays fine in all players, vobs will play under sufferance and only when the colorwheel gets too dizzy to keep spinning! there are no scratches on this disc, I have cleaned it, it looks perfect its region 4. Has any one else had this problem before?

Sorry, couldnt resist, I love that skit I suppose you've tried all the older rippers? I'm also wondering if the disc has one of those transparent rings that was mentioned in a thread here a few weeks ago ...

I have just tried DVD Backup and it does half and then cant read an IFO file 05, MTR cant read the ifo files but DVD Backup reads all but one, if I view the movie from the VIDEO_TS file it plays fine but toast says the format is wrong so I cant burn it, are their any other rippers you could suggest I try?? and who is mrs patterson?

Have you tried 0sex in disk image mode?

PS Mrs Patterson is Kevin's mother. Perry has a funny way of saying 'Yes Mrs Patterson' - it's something of a famous catchphrase from the Kevin & Perry skits.

I downloaded 0SEx 0.0110a1 but it keeps quiting, do you know if that is an update or the complete app, I also had a look at yadex but its not in english

I don't know if there is any difference from that other version, but I've been using 0.0101b from http://www.cs.buffalo.edu/%7Eafaversa/

Thanks for the help thoughton, I gave 0SEx 0.0101b a try it does the same thing after I unstuff it it has a read me file and a page with an application icon on it, is that all there should be?


I just tried to post a screen shot of the OSEx folder but all I get is the little blue box with the question mark instaed of the screen shot, I followed the instructions and still cant do it?

ps, I like your OSX page too its has lots of good reading!

After you unstuff it you should have a folder containing "0SEx 0.0101b.app" and "0SEx 0.0101b ReadMe.rtf". The app file should be the one you want.

If this isn't what you got I would check the version number of your Stuffit program. version 8.0 had a problem with OSX 10.3, you need to make sure you have upgraded to 8.0.2
