Would like to edit or add chapters and transitions to product created. PowerDVD plays without a hitch, but WinXP does not see files and gives message to insert disk into drive. Same oodurs with MM2

Did you remember to finalize the disc first?

    Thank you for your response.
Yes, it is a finalized DVD-RW in VR mode, but It also doesn't read a finalized dvd-r, that plays fine in PowerDVD.

I am considering DVD MovieFactory 3 Disc Creator. Will it make transitions?
In past I have used CanpusADVC100 to Pinnacle7, edit, cut, transition, titles, then to MF2 for chapters and menu creation and to burn.
I like the use of transitions because it smooths the play between the cuts.
These discs do not require finalising however need file system driver support to readable under Windows Explorer.
Where would I find such file system driver ?
I suspect you want you create an ordinarly DVD-R/+R with a menu for other DVD Players
This is correct. After I eventually convert all of home movies to DVD. i would like to be able to take a snippit of this one and that one, etc to make a single video. Say Christmas or birthdays over the years or a growing up video for my kids when they get older.
    God Bless

  6. I have the Pioneer 310 and i'm having the same trouble. In my PC i'm using the Pioneer P-105 DVD writer for reading the discs and it still can't be done. Record the discs in video mode and it'll read no problem.
