  1. I recently got Ulead video studio and I have a couple of questions regarding the program.

First of all why is the video editing so slow? I captured in MPEG2 and when it asks me in the beginning which mode I want to edit in, I pick NTSC VCD because that's what I want the output to be. I was trying to edit in MPEG2 at first and that was even slower. I click on a frame and it takes a few seconds to actually get it to show up. Previewing is impossible because I can only get half a second to play at a time before it lags, with no sound.

Second, why is the output so slow? The other program I use to edit outputs videos in the same time that the video is. The reason why I have to use Ulead is because this other program can't open some of my videos. When I try outputting with Ulead it takes at least 4 times longer than the actual video itself.

Let's see. You want the program to convert MPEG-2 to MPEG-1, also probably need to convert the audio as well. It really depends on your CPU speed. If you are so much more happy with your old program, why not use Video Studio to convert the files that program cannot run into files it can run?
    Hello.
