Im thinking of buying this Sony LCD set as I heard its good for video games, and has a great picture. When I say good for video games, I mean I heard it has little to no chance for burn in. I heard the blacks are not as good on the LCD sets as the plasma sets, but the plasma tvs are not what you would call PS2/Xbox friendly as they do burn in easier than most tvs. This sony is also only 87 pounds, and 15.5 inches deep. Now its no wall hanging TV, but for the $3000 it seems like a good buy. What do you all think? Do any of you own this set? Thanks.

Hell I didn't even spend $3000 on my car, let alone my TV. God I wish I was rich

maybe its LCD rear screen , in which case - the jury is out on those as there is some pixelization -- but a very bright image .."Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -
one nasty thing about LCD is that when the pixels die (and they do over time) -- they stay lit (brightly) , when the micro mirrors on a DLP die (rare but happens) they stay black (unflipped) ...
LCD panels also change over time because of the UV light passing through them (they have a lot of filters but still a lot from those bulbs) , DLP do not change over time ...
both technologies require new bulbs ... some manuf. really hit people up for the cost of replacemnt bulbs but in many cases there is an exchange program which can save you half the cost in some cases (some dont have)"Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650)
