    Recently I start using lame for mp3 encode, but trouble appears.

    In virtualdub, whenever click on Audio-> compression...
    then it crashes

    Gives this error:

    An out-of-bounds memory access (access violation) occurred in module 'LameACM'...
    ...while enumerating audio codec ID 00149458 (acompchoose.cpp:183).


    Any idea?

    Try re-installing Lame. Get it here. After unzipping, right click "LameACM.inf" and select "Install". This works for Windows NT/XP.

    Make sure you use Lame ACM version 3.92, the others are unstable.
