  1. I downloaded the Lame Codec pack but it's not showing up in VirtualDub. I go to compression but all I see is MPEG Layer-3 which is not the Lamemp3 codec. It doesn't allow me to change the sampling rate or anything like that. Could someone explain to me what I have to do?

FYI - I'm running Windows Vista.

There are several versions of the Lame package. With VirtualDub, I use the ACM version: http://www.rarewares.org/mp3-lame-dshow-acm.php#lame-current-acm Works fine with Vista and VD Mod.

I haven't tried using the directshow version, but others may be able to help with that.

Also, make sure you install the package. Unzip the files to a folder on your HDD, then right-click on the file with the .inf extension, and select Install form the menu. Click OK to any warnings about the files being unsigned.

Its random. Its pissing me off.. does anyone know the problem?!??! I have projects that I'd like to finish and this lamemp3 is the only one thats worked out for me the best. If anyone else has better suggestions- please tell me.
