  1. Ok...my system is up and running...had some initial problems with the HD but it was a cable issue.

    To recap; AMD1.2g; upgraded to 512mb PC2100 ram; 120g WD se; Sony CDR; Sony DRU500A v1.0d; Plextor 1210a v1.05; Matrox G400 32mb;

Now s/ware: I have access to Alcohol 120; Nero; EZCD Creator; CloneCD; DVDXCOPY 3.2.1; RecordNow Max; DVDShrink; CopyDVD; CloneDVD and other plus some disc info utilities.

So the question is which programs would you recommend for use. I'm a "noobie" at this stuff...but don't want mediocer results. Good video & audio are what I'm after.

I apprecite any input you can offer.

    Thank you....

    later...

  3. Sorry, should have been clear...this system is dedicated to burning CD's & DVD's and file backups.

I am hoping to find programs that produce good results and are easy to use.

    Thanks...

  4. The machine I built for this purpose has:

    Windows 2000 Pro
    DVD2one
    DVDShrink
    Nero (purely for burning)
    DVD Decryptor
    TMPGEnc Plus
    TMPGEnc DVD Author
    Ulead DVD Workshop

This setup has met just about every thing I've wanted to do so far.,

    Especially since it is free!
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?
