  1. You know I used to ghost my machine every couple weeks. First onto a second HDD then onto DVD-RWs when I got my DVD burner. I think it's a real pain in the arse....ghosting, verifying, removing the drive (I use a drive just for images) and then with DVDs.

I desided to just go with a Seagate DDS-3 tape drive. Had a bunch of drives laying around work not being used anymore. We removed them from our Dell servers.

Whay do you all use? Anyone else using a tape drive? DDS or DLT?
What backup program do you use? I use Veritas instead of the built-in NT backup on win2k

:edit: added zip drive to the list

  2. Don't backup my data generally. Nothing on my computer is that important apart from school work and I always send one copy of whatever I am working on to my email address and another to my university hard drive.

  5. Stomp Backup my PC

I regularly just store my important files on DVD...so I don't feel the need to do backups that often.

  6. Dont see a need for it. I have enough virus protection so that'll never happen, plus firewall router and software firewall. I doubt my computer will be seeing any fatal errors any time soon. I just download stuff then burn to dvd-r or cdr..

I backup on to another computer's HD, the notebook.

I use the CD backup once in a while, usually once every 3-months.
