  1. i wasn't sure which area to post this in, so here goes:

aiight, here's my problem...i captured some 16x9 video taken w/ a newer Sony DV cam (can't remember the model #) in Sonic Vegas and everything seemed fine. when i play the captured .AVI u can tell that it's in WS and not 4:3. my problem is, when i encode it to an .MPG using CCE, DVD-lab sees it as a 4:3 and "squishes" the picture when i try to make a DVD out of it.

before u ask--yes, i did select the 16:9 option in CCE and yes, i did select the WS option in DVD-lab (the menus are in WS, but the video is not)....it's just that when i import the asset, it says it's 4:3.

    i've only really captured/encoded 4:3 video--this is my first 16x9 attempt.

    thanks...sturmie

  3. hmmm... that little tool looks PERFECT! does it work as advertised?

also, why would Vegas capture in 16:9, but the .AVI not be read as WS video? just curious. i just a new Sony DV cam (TRV33) and will prolly shot a lot in 16:9--so i'm certain i will come across this issue again.

    thanks...sturmie
