  1. I burned a Divx movie file onto a CD (just data not vcd or anything). When i am trying to change the Xvid fourCC codecs it will open from the CD but won't change (yes, i know i can't change the file that's on the CD). So I copy the file from the CD and paste it onto my Hard drive and when I try to load the Divx movie on to Xvid FourCC it pops up with an displaying error cannot open.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Oh yea the codec being used by the movie is mp43.

The movie isnt divx encoded then if you say mp43,thats ms mpeg4 v3 codecs, you cant change the header to divx or xvid to get it to work that way. Also if you are on win98 the file will have a read only attribute which will give you errors trying to change it.

Just copy and paste from your cd,for win98 right click on the file and uncheck read only and winxp you dont have to do this.
