  1. I have tried TMPGenc DVD Autor and DVDLAB for DVD autoring with mixed results.

Are there any othere good DVD authoring apps which do not reencode DVD complient files? I want try something different.

I hate the fact that DVDLAB takes too long, it demux and then remux the same files!

TMPG DVD Author does not seem to do menus in 16:9 ratio only 4:3, with very little flexibility.

    Thanks in advance.

  2. DVDLab can accept VOBs and doesn't demux them AFAIK - you sure you didn't get the question asked when you added them to the assets window ?

  3. I did but the problem is that it creates audio synch problem if I don't. My source files are DVB mpeg files.

  4. Ah - I'm seeing a lot of posts about various Mpeg types.
I think the whole mpeg spec is a little messy and causing difficulty.
Have you tried demuxing and then a simple re- author with IfoEdit.
Try and get a program to check out the streams delay etc. That might give you some clues....

Adobe Encore author without re-encoding. I have been using it for the past 2 months and despite all the crticism I have read about it, I am pleased with it.
No problem to report so far.

  7. In that case I suggest you post a Bug report to the DVDLab forum so that the Author has a chance to sort out the bug.
Its a great program but also a one man show.
TMPenc / Author has much more experience with mpeg due to thier history of encoding.
