I demuxed VOB files to elementary streams, m2v, ac3, mp2, wav. I want author DVD with basic menu, just list or tracks. I want author without re-encoding files. I have read, TmpGenc DVD Author is unpredictable in this task. Is there better tools? TDA is very handy for menu creation, though. I have TDA v2x

DVD Styler seems the only one of the above that is actively developed.

I highly suggest Ulead DVD Workshop 2, which is available for $99 from this link. This program used to be almost $500, and it is arguably "professional" class software, not low-end hobby software. However, the beauty of DVDWS2 is how click-easy it is to use, while staying so incredibly powerful.

    A video-based guide is at http://www.digitalfaq.com/forum/showthread.php/author-ulead-dvd-1506.html

However, all that said, there is NOTHING wrong with TDA (now TAW4). Guide and information on this software at http://www.digitalfaq.com/guides/video/author-tsunami.htm
Whatever you have read is probably misleading crap from somebody that didn't know what they were doing.

Supported, sure, but not developed. There is a statement by him here somewhere to the effect that he is not working on it anymore. Same with DVDLab (check the Mediachance forum).

I looked but didn't find detailed guide how to create menus with GUIForDVDAuthor. I dont need cut-edit, chaptering, subtitlemenus, DVD will have only multiple tracks and no chapters; so need set each mpeg file as a sepapate clip (on separate track), each track contain one clip (should work just similar way as we have chosen 'Top menu only' in TDA menu structure).

Is the DVD Maestro completely obsolete tool? Which functions or standards are not supported by DVD Maestro?

He's done some bugfixes., eg https://forum.videohelp.com/topic366080.html#1964459

Regardless, GfD is a quite mature program and does the job very well as-is.
