  1. Hi I recently installed a second stick of pc2700 ddr and now when i try to encode i get an error message(see screen shot).....normally i would think it was a bad memory stick but i am having none of the other problems normally associatted with bad memory. I even formatted and re-installed my os and all my programs thinking maybe that would help but i am still having problems. I am using TMPGEnc Plus 2.58.44.152 but I have tried other version and same problem occurs

    system specs are

    3 gig amd cpu
    1024mb pc2700
    asus a7v8x-xc

I have did a search but cant find quite the same error, direct show is given highest priority in enviromental settings etc

  4. Take the new stick of memory out and see if the problem goes away.

  5. I don't think this is a memory issue, uninstall and reinstall tmpgenc.

Do you still have the same problem after this ?
    If it's wet, drink it

  6. update...I removed the new stick still got the same error, then I removed the older stick and put the new stic back in...was able to successfully encode .....both sticks of ram are under 1 month old...but it looks like it was just a coincendence that the problem started when new ram was put in.....will be running a diagnostics on the older stick later today then returning it back to where i got it....thanx for the input

  7. I did a total format and install after the problem started...so I had to re-install tmpgenc too..also tried earlier versions same result..its memory related in some way ...though i hadnt been getting any random reboots etc...last night before i removed the older stick of ram i got a couple of blue screens when closing down which i hadnt seen before, since removing it the blue screens are gone....shocking though that my new memory is bad
