Due to ongoing conflicts with Windows XP I am looking for a new anti virus program. Could anyone possibly provide feedback on the AVG program? Have you experienced any conflicts with Win. XP, is it dependable, do you like it, does it work properly, good customer support, etc. Thank you so much for your reply.
    Thank You,

I did have problems with Norton AV on a WinXP computer.

Conflicts and serious software damage did occur in the OS. This was on networking and Internet access configurations and the only way was to re-format and re-install the OS.

This depends on what you do, how and what you add in the system. These are the hints. This is just any example, don't install NAV2002 then uninstall the re-install the older version NAV2001. Don't use Microsoft's firewall with NAV together as well. Mixing of AV and firewall brands is out.

Best to use one brand only at a time in order of versions and switch off Microsoft’s firewall. This is only a guide and someone’s computer maybe ok.

I recently was having problems with NIS and a change to AVG advisable.
