Anyone know a good one that rips and makes the file it ripps to MP3? Do they all do that? Or do most rip as WAV?

I use dbPowerAMP music converter. You can download from one of the music tools sites. I think I got it from http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/win95/
Try it

If you want to make really good MP3's, and I mean really good MP3's, go to http://www.r3mix.net and check the ripping and encoding section. If you want to rip and encode fast, don't go there. If you want the best rip and MP3's check it out.
You won't get 128Kbs MP3's, you will get 128-320Kbs VBR MP3's. Lower bitrate if it can and higher bitrates if it is necessary. Mostly the avarage bitrate will somewhere be between 160Kbs and 192Kbs. -
Yeah, I used to use a warezed Audio Catalyst 2.1 because they tried to charge me for it... pfff...
Anyway, that is what I used for like a year until I upgraded to Windows XP PRofessional, and Audio Catalyst stopped working. So now I use CDex, which is WAY better than Audio Catalyst could ever be... and it's legal if you get it for free.
