I have a Ricoh MP5240A 4X dvd writer and I want to use Nero 6. However, when I try to copy a non-copyrighted DVD Disc to Disc I get a message telling me that the target media is not big enough and to insert a larger capacity disc. MEDIA INFO tells me that the file size on the source disc is is less than the space available on the target disc. I have succesfully copied discs in this manner with INTERCOPY DVD that came with my writer, but I would prefer to use NERO.

A very full DVD-R can be 6MB larger than a DVD+R
Blank DVD-R 4,489MB 4,706,074,624 bytes or 4.383GB
Blank DVD+R 4,483MB 4,700,372,992 bytes or 4.377GB

Can you tell me whats the size of the movie?
What version of Nero, 6.3.0.2 is the latest, I hear earlier versions have some problems with sizing. -
Hi
what a coincidence - I too have had exactly the same problem when i try to back up a non copyrigted dvd to dvd with nero 6 and a liteon dvd burner, invariably i will get the error message the destination disc is smaller than the source????
any help appreciated.
thanks
