    just wondering why i can only burn dvd files off my computer onto cd at 2x my cd writer is 4x and cdz are 4x.

    Are we talking about a CD, or a DVD?

    What speed options are available in the Nero wizard?

    Have u updated you burner's firmware?

    Are u sure yer using an R, instead of an RW ?

    im using a dvd and the highest speed in nero is a 2x and im using 4x cd dvd-r and my burner is a 4x.
    and have updated firmware

    Sumthin isn't right about that media. I recommend downloading DVDInfoPro ...it's free.....the link is in the downloads section on this website.

    It will check out yer media and tell u what it's capable of. You may have gotten a bad batch of dvdr's.
