For some reason my dvd recorder Pioneer-111D wont burn at max speed anymore. It usually writes at about 9 minutes for a full disk but now I have to burn at medium speed 15 minutes.Im using Veritas software recordnow and the same media Sumvision.I wait for it to iniatialize disk and then a after a minute or two it says disk read error.
Is it a problem with my writer?

I would first try another media brand and also another burning software(like imgburn or cdburnerxp). If that wont help it might be the writer.

See if there's a firmware update at http://www.pioneer.eu/eur/content/support/support/software.html#fdvdwriter
Maybe it helps also.
