This just recently started happening - I'm getting a green screen when converting AVI's to DVD. I read in some forums that it may be due to XVID codecs, but here's the kicker - I am using an uncompressed setting & have tried all formats (YUY2, YVU9, RGB, ect) is this still an AVI codec I need to tweek or is it a setting in TMPGEnc I need to check (or un check)?
By the way I'm using MGI video wave to cap.

You may need to install an mpeg-2 codec or a software DVD player. If you already have a software DVD player, try playing your file with it.

I tied playing the file with Win DVD 4, same result - green screen/no sound - The original AVI file plays fine in media player & MGI video wave - The problem is when I load the file in TMPGEnc to encode to Mpeg2, the result is no audio with a green screen, (this is like this not only after the encode, but also when I go into source range or preview.??

It's all good now (changed directshow priority) didn't think that one affected AVI's, so I had the 2 AVI plugins set for the highest priority.
Excuse my brain fart, that was the first thing I should have checked.
