I know this is probably very basic and my apologies up front. But what i want to do is as follows:
I have many concert DVDs. I want to cut out several songs from each and splice into one big file that i can leave on my hard drive and view from my computer (it is hooked up to my plasma tv). I have DVD Decrypter and it is easy to copy the VOB files to the computer. But given that I know virtually nothing about working with video my inclination is that I need to convert to mpeg-2 first and then use some basic editing software to cut up the files and then join as desired. I would also like to then create a menu to get to each song. Is there a simple way to approach this? what software do I need and what steps?
thanks in advance.
