  1. Which is the best tutorial on this website if you were in this situation:

I have a dvd-+r/rw writer and a cdr/rw writer in my PC. I guess I am wanting to copy a full dvd to my hard drive and then burn it on dvd-r since I don't have a dvd reader besides the one in my writer.

Whats the best tutorial or tools to do this with?

  2. I don't think it really matters if your reader is rw or not, when you're ripping the dvd to your hd.

best guide for ripping files to your hd is here:

  5. Hi all.

BrentD, it all depends what software(s) you intend to use.

If DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter, Nero or burnatonce, I can highly recommend the guides at
    http://www.dvdshrink.info/guides.php
    I made them.

I think I know what you mean. Install AnyDVD and CloneDVD. The you put dvd movie disk in writer drive, wait till CloneDVD sets up files, then replace that disk with a blank DVD and burn. You don't need to rip to the hard drive separately. Look for tutorials under "DVD to DVDr using CloneDVD"

Ok I tried the clonedvd, I placed the original dvd into teh dvd player/writer, opened clonedvd and did as the help file with it told me to do, it gets to 59% everytime and then I get an error which I have attached to this post. Any clue why I get this everytime?

Also if it does complete 100% will it ask me to remove the original dvd and put my dvd-r into the writer so it can write what it just copied?

Yes, it will ask you to remove the movie and insert a blank DVD. I use a DVD rom drive to read and put the blank in the burner so I can go away and pick it up when ready.
The problem you have is new to me, mavbe a really 'cluey' guy like "the Village idiot" or "FOO" or "tommyknocker" can help.

Can I ask? Have you tried another DVD? Have you tried ripping with dvd-decrypter and loading that way (just to see if it works)
It may be a disk error due to a scratch.
