Do all AMD have soundblaster live problem's or just some of them?

I don't know for sure but I don't think it's the AMD chip that is having the problem the the soundblaster live card. I had at one time a link to a forum which a lot of people who probably have similar problems to yours(pauses, computer freezes, cdrom freezes, etc).

The problem does not seem to stem from the AMD chip, I for example have a pent. III chip. From all the post's it's a problem with the via chipset and the live card.

VIA and creative labs were working on a fix but after extensive testing on there part(ya right) they are telling the thousands who have complainted of this problem and the hundreds who had posted on the forum that there is not problem they can find.

Funny considering if they changed the sound card to something other than the live series the problems tended to go away and for those with intel chips switching to a non via chipset board also cleared up the problems.

Ryan is right. Some VIA motherboards and Soundblaster Live! soundcards don't play nice together.
