    Hi:

I have a Audigy Soundblaster Se card and it was working fine up until a few days ago. I have uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times with the following error message every time I try to play a music file.

"Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There might not be a sound device installed on your computer it might be in use by another program, or it might not be functioning properly."

When I go to control panel or "System Properties" Device Manager it says sound card is working properly so what could be the problem??? I had a Trojan-Sply flux malware on my computer just recently and wonder if that could have something to do with the problems I'm having trying to get this soundcard to work.

If this isn't the place that can help me with this type of problem then can someone direct me to a forum that can.

    Thanks,

You can try using a system restore point just prior to when the problem occurred.
