  1. Given scenario - No computer, however : dvd player + tv + vcr(video) + a range of different cables and empty vhs/svhs cassets(tapes).
Desired outcome : to succesfully copy a dvd movie to a simple video tape.

1)There is probably some scrambling, so - is there a need to buy some "magic" box ? (usually you plug the outs into such a box and the ins from such a box goes to a vcr, and - tada, no scrambling or other protection and the copying procces can be done).

Basically what I'm asking is - is there someone there who knows what I need to do ?

    Thanks in advance,

    TDO.

  2. the scrambling you refer to is macrovison and look up your dvd player and see if there is a hack for your model or you could get the "demacro leads" to conect your equipment together from a good reputable dealer

It appears that the CPU was operating so fast that it began to execute instructions before they arrived. This execution of future instructions created a small tear in space-time itself through which part of the cpu passed into a parallel universe

  3. as the previous poster mentioned, what you are referring to is macrovision. What you will need (or hope you own) is a dvd player that can be demacrovisioned. An excellant example would be the apex 1100w (info available at nerd-out.com). If you can demacro your player, then all you will need to do is hook your dvd player up to your vcr and record.

I did this with my apex, however, never did it for the purpose (and have never tried it) of recording dvd to vhs. Mine was because I was too cheap to buy a rf modulator and ran everything through my vcr to my coax cable only tv.
